HEAD COOK: YUYA NAGASATO
COMPETITION: World Burger Championship
Yuya Nagasato is one of the owners of BRISK STAND. He started his career as a banker after graduation, then moved to a trading company. When he was 34, he came across to Mr. Ryotaro Maruyama, who was the owner and chef of BRISK STAND at the time. Yuya was so impressed by Maruyama's signature burger "Kitta Yatsu (half-cut burger)" that he decided to change jobs. In 2023, Yuya moved his base from Tokyo to Kobe to be handed over the company from Maruyama to focus on managing BRISK STAND and expanding its stores. As of 2025, their burger stand has 13 stores in Japan, and won the top spot out of 72 teams nationwide at this year's JAPAN BURGER CHAMPIONSHIP 2025. With founder Maruyama as sous chef, they aim to become the best in the world.
